After so many years of friendship now is the perfect time to make things memorable for your best friend. After he has chosen you to be his Best Man, it is but proper for you to let him know that he made the right choice. So on his special day, and even prior to his wedding day, work hard to give him a very memorable wedding!

You have a lot of responsibilities as the Best Man at the wedding. These responsibilities come with the prestigious title that was awarded on to you. Even before the wedding itself, it is your responsibility to take care of reservations, the pick up and delivery of his suit to the dry cleaners, gather up his engraved poker chips set, simple things like that. Other than these, it is also your responsibility to basically be there for your friend. The groom is probably under a lot of stress and tension therefore as the best man, see to it that you are always willing to extend an extra hand to help him out. Even offer to buy his groomsmen gifts is a good idea.  Have the initiative to offer him help as he might not even know you are available and capable to help him. Again, he has a lot of things in his mind.

On the wedding day itself, as the Best Man at the wedding, you have to make sure that everything is set and well prepared for. All the reservations have been made of course so just see to it that everyone arrives on time. By everyone we mean the caterer, the couturier for last minute changes, and everyone else who will make their wedding night possible. Don't forget to make sure that you have the ring and his personalized pub signs with you as this is very important and this is your responsibility. Isn't this proof enough of how important you actually are? Imagine having the privilege of safekeeping a very symbolic wedding piece?

Make sure that your phone battery is fully charged as you might need to make calls and follow ups most especially if you have set up a surprise for the couple. Not to mention, there might be some guests who might have difficulty in finding the wedding venue. Chances are, it is you they will call to guide them. Another big responsibility you have is the responsibility of giving a Best Man Toast complete with a Best Man Speech. Okay, don't cringe at the thought of that because giving a Best Man speech and toast could actually be fun and enjoyable. This is the perfect chance for you to express yourself and the things you might want everyone else to know about your best friend and his wife and her friends as well and what type of bridesmaid gifts she might have to consider such as hanging cosmetic case and other nice gifts like that.

Prepare well for your speech and make sure that you keep it relatively short and direct to the point so as not to bore the guests. Simply put, keep it short, sweet and simple.
